I praise the creators for coming as far as they did with a poor direction, and for toppling over a lot of horrors that have been made in the past decade. As time progresses the students begin to discover why this place is avoided by the locals. Immediately the locals begin to back away from the discarded plant. When the college students begin to venture closer to the temple in the clearing, many of the Mayans begin to back away. The young group of adventurers ignore all common sense and decency for the dead and decide to check out some ancient ruins because apparently they are either so self-involved they could never imagine something terrible happening to them while traipsing through the resting place of ancient folks, or have never seen a horror film, ever! Only one girl escapes to flee back to Cancun with a harrowing story to tell. It was so compellingly good just to watch what all happened, and I really enjoyed the scenes and thought that it had excellent suspense and a wonderful atmosphere of claustrophobia and paranoia. In local legend this flower actively seeks out human blood to feed on unsuspecting victims. Regardless, it is nonetheless very amusing and indulging. Terror soon ensues as they try to stay alive while fighting the Cursed Blood Flower. Too bad more people didn't see what I did, because it is quite underrated and under appreciated, I think.
When the group asks for directions to the ruins of a particular temple, many of the locals begin to panic.
