The Fender magic 6's seem to work well on the Fender models as a starting point gain at 6,treble at 6, mid at 3 and bass on 2 or 3 Remember, with the tonelab, the Fender and Vox models never had a master volume, so keep the Virtual gain maxed or close to it to suck all that goodness from the tube.
But I thought it might be useful if there were up and down arrows next to the numeric value and you could click those to increase or decrease the value. I still and will continue to use individual pedals, but the Zoom as great sounds in it! I quickly built 5 effects chains and got all goofy having fun with the different pedals. © 2006-2016 All rights reserved. I've just come across this thread. What if I just want to move D4 so it appears between A7 and A8? It does produce some very good tones though. The effects were all jumpy, half of them seemed like repeats of previous settings and the volume seemed to be uncontrollable when dialing in settings. I found the spring reverb to be of good quality as well the overdriven tube tube screamer. I don't care too much for the Pitch Shifter though. My old pedal just wasn't making me happy anymore.
I know I've still got a long way to go before I'm a B1 programming expert, but I do feel like I'm getting there. So I pressed on, and I was rewarded with great sound! You can also save a bundle on a new amp, you won't need it with this because it adds a tone of wattage, and it has noise reduction and presence. It would be a pain to adjust the reverb level for every patch every time you play a different place, so just use the spring reverb and it will sound good everywhere. You can even share your patches with others or use a cool patch someone else. This is good for live use where each place you play sounds different. It just sounded great, warm, natural. Let me say first that the tube does actually work and performs it's role.
Worked a treat, editing patches was a breeze. So, in Tonelib, I tried dragging a patch from one part of the Patch List to another, but it still does a swap, the same as the B1on does. Make sure you have decent strings on your guitar. And it's all recorded direct! Naturally that both helps to ensure I'm using the preset list to cycle between a bypass patch and a programmed patch; but it also opens up the possibility of adding an overdrive or chorus to a favorite everyday patch without having to necessarily create an overdriven version of that patch in a different slot. The efx a very good. I am completely satified tone-wise.
Some of the available 33 amp models are not my cup of tea, but still good for what they are. It would be a lot easier if I could just write the original back into patch 59. It tries to connect to my Zoom R16, then says there is no B1on.
This way the Tonelab does all the tone-shaping. It's only a few dollars 20 to 40 more than just a wah-wah and does so much more. I want to thank you for this tool, it just plain rocks, and may actually get me to use this pedal in a live setting. If you can't or won't spend a fair amount of time tweaking the settings, you won't get good sound out of any multi-effects pedal. Its relativly a worthless feature. Thats a true volume knob for the unit and doesn't interfere with the gain structure or alter the sound at all. And that is saying a lot because after all, it is a digital processor. So much easier than knobs. Plugged it in and couldn't believe the poor sound quality.
Instead, it is used as part of a power amp circuit. Remember, those factory presets are what 'other people' think is supposed to sound good. Look up the charts and use them. You can't have a fully adjustable chorus and delay at the same time, which is something that I find essential on my clean sounds. If these expression pedals could be designed to have a longer sweep, they could be much more musically useful. Awesome sonic power and total performance control. It is really good but I missed the small form factor for small concerts or even as a limited back-up. The Reverb section is genius! I've had it for two weeks and it has definitely inspired me to play more and play new things.
